Tibble Fork Engagement Photos
Fresh snow covered the beautiful Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork canyon. We arrived just as clouds filled the atmosphere which made us feel like we were trapped in our own little winterland up in the sky. It was a slippery little hike down to the reservoir. I watched as other people played on the ice and thought to myself “Woah, we are going ontop of the ice? First time for everything. Yolo haha”. It was slushy on the edges but other than that we made it across the ice just fine. It was rather surreal to me, a lot like scuba diving, to be walking over water.
Our session ended in the most magical way too, a moose blocked the road getting out! He was a cutie!
I had a blast with these two! Dallas would pickup Kim randomly like it was nothing. He saved her from deep snow and all the slush. They are so adorable together! You have to read their love story below:
Things Kim remembers from the day she met Dallas:
So, my best friend Lexi got married to Dallas’ good friend Jordan.Bridesmaids and groomsmen got there early and so we decided to get together. Ideas were thrown around, but we eventually landed on River Rafting. We got to the place and we met the groomsmen and got lifejackets and got out on the river. We picked seats randomly with boys on the two ends and I ended up next to Dallas. I talked with him for a little while, and I didn’t think much of it to be honest, but he seemed very excited about being on the river, and ended up throwing me in TWICE! I had just gotten out of a serious relationship so I didn’t think much into seeing him again. But after the wedding when we got back to Provo, he seemed very persistent on getting together. Once I went on the first date I knew that we would end up dating, and it wasn’t long after that I fell in love with his sweetness and joking manner. Now I can’t picture life without him.
Dallas says that she was obviously the cutest girl on the raft, and so I started to ask her all of the quick get to know you questions and she seemed cool and down to earth and so I decided she had to go in the water. We hung out during the wedding and I always found a chance to go over and talk to her. Once we got back to provo I did what I could to see her again. The rest is history.
The Proposal was magical. Dallas was in Texas doing an internship and little to my knowledge he had made a secret trip to Salt Lake to surprise me and propose. I was up in the mountains taking some pictures with my friends and Dallas just came out from behind a barn, my friends all pulled out rose pedals and threw them at me then ran away, and he got down on a knee and asked me to marry him! I was honestly so shocked when he came around the corner, I kept thinking about how real it all was! Of course I said yes and we celebrated and kissed and I marveled over what an incredible ring he got for me (He designed the underside of it himself!). Then we went into the barn where he had set up a table with candles and roses and pictures of some of the dates we had gone on getting us up to this point. It was perfect!
What are you most looking forward to?
Dallas: I most look forward to just getting to go to bed with each other every night instead of having to say goodbye at the door. The wedding will be great, and we are super excited to celebrate with family and friends, but ultimately its being together for all eternity that has us really excited.
Kim: I am so excited for the marriage aspect! I can’t wait to spend everyday together and not have to worry about how much time we have before we have to say goodbye again. I’m also really excited having all of my family there and dancing at the reception!!
Dallas’ favorite part of the session was just being put in an environment where we felt totally comfortable being fun and personal and kissing and whatnot where normally we feel a little uncomfortable being like that in front of other people. The pictures also turned out great, so we are so glad we had the chance to take pictures with you!
Kim’s favorite part was all of the fun games that Kaci had us do that resulted in some seriously cute pictures! It made taking pictures fun and easy! It turned something that is usually the most difficult part of modeling into a game and Dallas and I loved it!
My favorite part of the session was walking across the ice to get epic photos by the pine trees. I let them have some time alone and it was super sweet sight to see. I also loved how Dallas would carry her like a princess over the yucky slush! Thank you for getting all dressed up and going on an adventure with me you two. I wish you the most happiness in your marriage!
