The award for most giggliest couple has to go to these two! And I LOVE IT! Rachael has the sweetest smile and laugh. My favorite part was when I told them to kiss and they couldn’t because they were laughing too hard 🙂 Ryan is always making her laugh and if he wasn’t, he was adoring her with the most loving looks.
These two just barely moved to Utah and have already gone on several hikes. The day after this session they went skiing! Can you believe it, skiing at the end of May?! I feel like they fight right in with our beautiful, outdoorsy state!
After getting pampered by Brooksby Beauty, we met up to carpool into Big Cottonwood Canyon. This first spot Ryan pointed out to me. He had seen a bride getting photos on top of this little cliff when they hiked to Lake Desolate before. I absolutely loved this spot because the view was spectacular both on the right and the left. The other sides had some really cool rock formations too!
Then we ventured up to Jordan Pines Campground for a few more engagement photos. As we were walking up, we saw some mallards. This was Rachael’s first time seeing them and she was so excited! I tried to herd them closer to her so she could see them better. As we were walking out after the session, we saw the three males chasing a single female and it was hilarious.
We had a late winter this year, even at the end of May most everything was still pretty brown. We wanted to showcase more greenery with the evergreens.
This is a double exposure that I did in camera. It means I took two pictures ontop of each other. I am really excited about how it turned out!
I absolutely love Rachael’s ring! She shared her favorite ring designer on Instagram and Ryan picked this one out himself!
Congratulations you two! I am so excited for your new adventure here in Utah 🙂 and so happy for you to be getting married!!! I had a blast with you both! Thank you so much for going up the canyon with me for your engagement photos!
