Clouds rolled past us on this most perfect day in Tucson. We looked out over the Gates Pass Desert and let it all soak in – Rosemary and John are married! It was such a blast photographing these two. It is like they know my nerdy and dancing loving soul 🙂
Rosemary was most concerned about posing in front of the camera. By the end of their husband and wife photos…I would say she is pretty much a pro now 🙂
I absolutely loved her wildflower bouquet. It reminded me of the drive down from Phoenix (I flew in from Salt Lake City, Utah) to Tucson with all the beautiful wildflowers blooming in the desert.
This gazebo looked so stunning with the hanging strings of vibrant flowers. It was the perfect wedding backdrop for their vows.
The groom seeing his bride for the first time walking down the aisle is always the sweetest reaction!
I love the groomsmen super hero socks! Rosemary said John is her superman 🙂
The simple baby’s breath bridal bouquets went so well with the rest of the decor.
It is official!
We got an awesome photo with the kids 😉 lol
Then we ventured to Gates Pass for some beautiful sunset wedding photos in the desert!
You want to get your groom excited about taking photos? Buy him a smoke grenade!!!
They are so lovely together!
The reception was held down the street from Gates Pass at The Steinfield Warehouse Community Arts Center. It was so cool to be in that beautiful space with all the art projects to look at. They added a little extra magic by stringing lights across the ceiling.
One of the most tender, sweet moments was listening to the bride and groom sing a lovely hymn acapella with their performing group.
This is one of the most lively receptions I have been too! John and Rosemary played the wedding shoe game, which is always hilarious. They played several other games with the guests including a paper plane throwing contest!
The wedding cake was adorable and even yummier than it looks!
The bouquet and garter toss. Rosemary yelling “who wants this sweaty thigh fabric” will forever be one of my favorite quotes haha
This couple loves contra dancing! The live band, The Privy Tippers, did an amazing job. One of them was a violinist so of course I got one of their CDs before leaving 🙂
They left through a good ol’ sparkler exit. I told them to walk slowly, kiss halfway through, then run the rest of the way. They ran all the way to their car! It was so adorable to see how excited they were to be married!
I had a blast at this wedding and Gates Pass will forever hold a special place in my heart! Congrats you two!!!
