2017 Reflection from my first year Photographing Weddings

filed under:

Personal

2017 was an amazing year for sure! It was the year I feel like I found my purpose. I have always loved photography and entrepreneurship but didn’t know what to do with that. I found myself getting the most excited for engagement sessions so I decided to try out wedding photography. All I knew about it was everyone thought it was super stressful. I photographed my first wedding ever (with a coworker for their cousin-more like a second photographer) in March of 2017 and knew I had found my place. It was a low budget wedding, in a dark, tungsten lit church, but it was just as magical as any other wedding I have photographed.I want to be able to take any budget wedding look expensive. I have always had the attitude that my photographs can show others the beauty in the world and in people that I see, but to the naked eye doesn’t look like beauty.  I was able to photograph 10 weddings and almost 30 couples total 🙂

2017 Clients of an Arizona Wedding Photographer

I am so grateful for all the clients that took a chance on me while I have been growing and learning. I am slowly gaining confidence and doing whatever I can to better serve my future clients. This has been an amazing year and it hits me all the time that I am getting paid to do what I love but even more importantly I get to build other people up and make them feel beautiful. I get to create lasting art for them to cherish for generations to come. I love love <3

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and cheers to 2018!
