Wow, I am so grateful for the amazing wedding photography clients I’ve had this year. I took things really slow during my pregancy and maternity leave. I had my baby boy last August, 2024. Then had health complications after and have been nursing so it’s been a slow return to this work.
2025 Highlights
In 2025 I was able to book my highest paying client ever! This business took me to Santa Ynez, The Ritz Santa Barbara, The Ritz Palm Desert, Arizona, and Michigan.
I acquired the same model of 35mm film camera that I used in my dark room days, a Minolta! I am so excited to add 35mm film to my wedding collections in addition to my instant prints.
I spent MONTHS going through millions of photos from the past 9 years in weddings to curate for my new website ontop of extensive research and copywriting to refine my brand. I wouldn’t call this a rebrand, more of a refinement. But I hadn’t changed much since 2018 in terms of my brand voice, logos, and curation guidelines. I got my portfolio down to 14,000 from there I narrowed it down to 700. It was hard because I truly see the beauty in all of my clients and their celebrations, but I do want to be more specific with who I am marketing to for future bookings.
I am so proud of my new website! Just launched for 2026!!! It is the most polished version of my art that I could showcase. I’m not a designer or copywriter – but I put a lot of thought into how I present myself on this new website.

Word of the Year
I love having a focused word of the year, like a mantra to keep me on track. In the past I’ve done intentional, adventure, alignment, and last year it was gratitude and generousity.
For 2026, my word is stewardship.
I want to be a better steward over all that God has blessed me with. Be a better wife, mother, family member, friend, disciple, and business owner.
“His lord said unto him, Well done,Β thouΒ good and faithfulΒ servant: thou hast beenΒ faithfulΒ over a few things, I will make theeΒ rulerΒ over many things: enter thou into theΒ joyΒ of thy lord.” – Matthew 25:21
2026 Vision
I’m a very goal oriented, over achiever but for 2026 I want to focus on actions not outcomes.
“You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems/habits”
I want to post for my business every single day. Preferably a blog post but on minimal days an Instagram story or pin on Pinterest would be acceptable.
I want to improve my craft, especially with flash. I want to get back into using gels to match the ambient lighting and flash trigger. I plan on breaking down each part of the wedding day and diving deep on improvement.
I want to improve my client experience. Triple-checking spellings and pronunciations of names, adding birthdays and anniversaries to calendars, responding within 5 minutes even if that is just “Let me check on that and get back to you tomorrow”. I’ve been implementing so much from the Forbes five star checklist and the book “Unreasonable Hospitality”. I want to learn how to tie a tie and bowtie. I want to start creating a mood board with my clients. Lastly, I want to invest in assembling a detail styling kit – especially one I can easily travel with.
I should have my Google My Business Profile reinstated shortly, I want to go from 37 reviews – 100. I will implement a workflow for this because I rarely ask nowadays when I should!
I’m going to join Utah’s WIPA to start networking with the locals.
I love editorials, but this year I want to focus on a branding shoot for me. On brand headshots and an amazing video commercial for my business.
I’d love to know your goals for 2026! It is so fun to come back and see how much I was able to accomplish. Shoot for the moon and at least you’ll land amongst the stars!
xoxo,
Kaci
