There was so much laughter filling the Ivy House! Friends and family shared their dearest memories with the bride and groom, Katherine and Michael, during the dinner toasts. From childhood silliness to Michael asking Katherine’s dad for her hand in marriage; it was such a pleasure to hear about their history together. I looked out among the crowd to see so many joyful faces enjoying the speeches with me. I imagine that people walking by outside could probably hear us, even through the brick walls of the Ivy House.

Katherine and Michael were a joy to photograph. They are always smiling and when they are together, it is like they are in their own little cozy world.

She needed his coat for a minute to warm up! She was actually pretty warm from all the excitement of getting married. She rocked that lovely bridal gown in the snow!

The day started photographing Katherine’s gorgeous wedding ring. It was passed down from her grandmother, along with her lovely gold bracelet.

Then it was time for the bride to finish getting ready with her girls. I love how the bridesmaids each wrote a little note to Katherine on the bottom of her shoes.

When Michael sees Katherine for the first time…so sweet!

I loved this part of the ceremony. The officiant had the bride and groom hold hands as well as all the couples in the audience. We are all connected.

I love the first kiss as husband and wife from this angle, that way you can see the happy guests in the background!

3 generations of strong, married, amazing women

We took these lovely portraits just across the street at Trolley Square in Salt Lake City.

Then the wedding dinner toasts

I love the wedding shoe game! My favorite was “Who fell in love first” and they both raised their own shoe.

Then the first dances.

And of course cake cutting…it was a battle!

Her sisters sang to her and the boys had to retaliate.

The bride knows how to boogie!

Sending off the bride and groom through a sparkler exit is always so romantic!
