Alpine Poppy Field Engagement Photos – Kaelynn and Carson
Finding this secret little poppy meadow was an adventure! Luckily that is exactly what Kaelynn and Carson wanted for their engagement photos. She is obsessed with poppies! A friend had told me about this field last Fall. I was so excited that the stars aligned for us to take engagement photos while this field was in bloom. They usually only last 2-3 weeks and typically start opening at the beginning of June.
How to get to the Poppy Field:
The poppy field is not on Google maps. It is a bit of a trek because you CANNOT drive on the dirt roads, you will get escorted out and/or a fine! But we had the hardest time just finding the dirt roads in the first place! I took a screenshot from Google Earth to show you the parking options so you don’t have to drive around for 15 minutes like we did. You can park on 1330 Moyle Dr
Alpine, UT 84004 or at the LDS Church building at 1125 N Alpine Blvd, Alpine, UT 84004, or the closest is just East of the poppy fields.
The next obstacle is that during golden hour, around 6:30-8:30pm it is filled with photographers and their clients. It is best to go as soon as the poppies open because the meadow becomes trampled by people. It is not a large place to fit that many people. I tried to keep my clients where there was already a trail. Even when they laid down, it was on an inlet that was already down and there were no poppies. Please don’t trample or worse, take the poppies! Keep it magical for everyone else 🙂
We could just not get over how beautiful this poppy field was. It was so surreal to walk around in. I have never seen wild poppies before!
Thank you so much for searching for this poppy field with me for your engagement photos Kaelynn and Carson! I am so excited for you to be getting married! I wish all the best and the most happy ever after!
