Flagstaff Engagement Photos

The sun rays glided in and out of the trees in Flagstaff, creating a beautiful glow and radiating a soft warmth as we ventured down the mountain. We had the most epic time taking Rebecca and Joe’s Engagement photos in Flagstaff! We took photos at The Arboretum and Lockett Meadow, with a stop in between at MartAnne’s to refuel (the best gaucamole and carne asada ever)!

I am so excited for these two to be getting married! Rebecca shines brightly, she is kind and bubbly and makes everybody feel like a somebody within just a few minutes of talking with her. She has big dreams and an insatiable curiosity to see the world. They spend every chance they get exploring the most beautiful places, like the day after this engagement photo session, they crawled around the lava tubes! They have already been to Havasupai Falls 3 times (I’m not jealous, you’re jealous). Rebecca paired with Joe’s witty one liners and laid-back demeanor, they are a fun couple to be around for sure!

The Arboretum at Flagstaff

We started at The Arboretum at Flagstaff because that is where their wedding will take place in September! It is a beautiful drive through pine trees to get there. The Arb is filled with luscious plants and we were lucky enough to see their butterfly greenhouse. Just call me the butterfly whisperer because check out these cute engagement ring photos!

The engagement photos wouldn’t be complete without Paisley, the mighty, mini mountain dog!

Lockett Meadow Campground
I did not realize the aspen trees were all the way at the top of the mountain in Flagstaff 🙂 I am glad I survived! There was clearly a sign that said”not maintained for passenger vehicles” lol. Luckily, my little ford focus rental made it. The aspens made for some beautiful photos!

We had to get a few with Joe’s beloved fanny pack!

Then we chased the sunset down the mountain, stopping to take photos along the way. We found the biggest dandelion I have ever seen!
