Featured on the LA Times – Expert in Private Weddings

What an honor to be featured in The LA Times on my favorite topic – small, secluded luxury weddings!

“Leading Experts Reveal How to Pull Off That Iconic JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Secret Wedding Vibe in 2026” by Pallavi Mehra published March 13th, 2026.

Centering around the recent episode of “Love Story” reimagining JFK Jr. and Carolyn’s intimate wedding, several wedding industry leaders were quoted to contribute. One of my wedding photographs was featured alongside my quote.

“Location is key! Hosting a private wedding celebration is all about picking a secluded venue hidden away from the rest of the world. Be prepared to provide detailed directions or a shuttle service to your wedding location for your guests,” states Kaci VanderHoek, lead photographer at Kaci Lou Photography.

This quote was inspired by many of my clients who have had beautiful, small, secluded ceremonies where it feels like we’re the only people in the world surrounded by nature. The featured image was from Kathryn and Shannon’s wedding at the Red Earth in Moab.

A more recent wedding in Santa Ynez where the couple hosted 16 of their friends on a beautiful villa on thousands of acres of rolling hills came to mind as well.

Huge thank you to OFD Consulting for notifying me of the opportunity!
