Renovated Hotel in the Heart of Park City

Previously Hotel Peaks, now Hotel Thaynes reopened in the Fall of 2025 after about 8 months of rennovations costing ~$21 million. I was able to attend the ribbon-cutting event February 5th, 2026. Touring the updated hotel, every detail was thoughtfully executed with an emphasis on craftsmanship and coziness.
Why Couples Love Hotel Thaynes for Wedding Weekends
Hotel Thaynes is perfect for those hosting an intimate wedding or want a cozy vibe for their guests to stay at during the wedding weekend. It feels more like a private lodge than a large hotel.
Is Hotel Thaynes Right for Your Wedding?
- Hotel Thaynes would be best for:
- Rehearsal dinners
- Welcome parties
- Intimate wedding receptions
- Wedding weekend gatherings
- Not ideal for:
- Large guest counts
- Traditional ballroom-style weddings
Hotel Thaynes Wedding Venues:
The Courtyard
This would be the best spot for your ceremony, although it is in the center view of the hotel it is only public to other guests and not all of Park City. The enclosed Jupiter Pavilion is available if the ceremony needs to be moved indoors or that would be perfect for cocktail hour.

The Spruce Ballroom
You can host your reception in a more private room on the top (3rd) floor of the Hotel. It has a beautiful corner view with large windows.

Versante Hearth + Bar
Versante is a local Park City favorite. You can book your rehearsal dinner here or catering for your wedding day. There is a sunroom and lawn option available to host.
A Photographer’s Perspective on Hotel Thaynes
The main suite is perfect for your getting ready moment. It is spacious and filled with natural light. The courtyard is mostly in the shade so great even, flattering light during your ceremony. You don’t have to walk for to see pine trees or the mountains. All of the little details of Hotel Thaynes are Park City-centric and a ski-lover’s dream. The fireplace near the pool would also be iconic for photos!
Planning an Intimate Park City Wedding at Hotel Thaynes
Thaynes is the perfect place for your wedding rehersal and getting ready space though I would reccemond a seperate site for your ceremony (unless you’re having a very small wedding). This is a great place to kick off your wedding weekend and come back to after the festivities.
