La Jolla Cove is one of my favorite places in California for Engagement Photos. Why? #1 beautiful ocean, #2 beautiful landscaping, #3 wild sea lions and seals! It is always an adventure hanging out there. This day was no different. The weather was perfect, yet the sea lions were a tad aggressive. While I was taking photos of a sea lion, he charged at the guy next to me l… They sure have a loud bark but they can’t wobble very fast haha. They are so fun to watch, like dogs of the ocean!

I had an awesome time with Cece and Michael taking their La Jolla Cove engagement photos. He is actually a navy seal (it is only natural we would go to a place with seals jkjk) and Cece works at the best bakery ever – Nothing Bundt Cakes! So many of my brides use them for their wedding desserts. The white chocolate raspberry cake is my FAVORITE!

I just love how laid back these two are and Cece has an amazing smile!

For these photos I prompted them with a little game we photographers call “slingshot” one person pulls the other forward like a sling shot, it feels awkward to do, but always gets the best laughs haha

Then we had a sweet moment under these gorgeous trees in the center of La Jolla cove.

This little cave will take you pretty close to the sea lions’ favorite rock hangout!

I love bright photos but sometimes, the sky and ocean are too epic to overexpose.

Rose gold engagement rings will always have my heart! So pretty!!!
