Nerves were building up as I headed over to start photographing Lauren and Dave’s wedding day. I always get nervous before photographing a wedding but I know the bride and groom are also anxious for their big moment. I texted Lauren to see what I could get her, she wanted gatorade to help ease her stomach. I watched her take in deep breaths and she was quieter than usual. She wasn’t nervous about marrying Dave, that had always been a sure thing. They have been together for years and knew they were meant to be together just a few weeks after meeting in person. Lauren was worried about everything coming together because she had planned this wedding basically on her own. I was so impressed with all of the details she pulled together that made this wedding so friendly and inviting and totally their style.
All of her nerves vanished as she took in a deep breath and tapped Dave on the shoulder so they could see each other for the first time. First looks are my absolute favorite! It was so sweet to see all their worries and stress melt away as they hugged each other and giggled in happiness.
The Queen Creek Olive Mill is my new favorite place! Their food is incredible (I love Italian). Plus their scenery is very much like Tuscany.
Their ceremony was sweet and tender. They both quoted The Office!!! Obviously they are the best right?! They are actually the ones that inspired me to watch The Office and I am on my second time through it ha. I also loved their Beer unity ceremony. They both love craft beer and it showed that they will never be separated.
Besides getting married, they were most excited about their beer burro! They have been waiting over a year to meet her and it was worth the wait. Sophie was so soft and sweet! Watch out though she will try to steal your man!
For their wedding favors, Lauren made these beautiful bookmarks herself and put them in books from their personal library with a note written in the cover. Such a great personal gift and I love to read so I am stoked to start on my book “The God of Small Things” an Indian Political and Love drama.
The reception was beautiful and so much fun. Not gonna lie I had seconds because the bruschetta and meatballs are AMAZING 🙂
I had so much fun photographing this wedding. I just love Lauren and Dave! I wish you both the most happiness in your marriage!
