Bonneville salt flats Wedding & elopement locations

Privately owned little rest stop with picnic tables where you can walk out onto the flats. This is best if you need strangers to be your witnesses.

Mountains

Road leads out to the middle of the salt flats, owned by BLM so you have to get a permit. Also steer clear of events happening. This is best if you have many guests.

There are campgrounds and dirt roads we can explore in the mountains behind the salt flats. Fun adventure for just the two of you.

Westbound Rest Stop

The salt flats are totally unique and out of this world! If you want a stand-out wedding experience and amazing photos then you should get married here! It is easy to get to and no hiking required.

You might not want to get married at the salt flats due to weather or lack of resources.

is A Salt Flats Wedding for you?

The most guests I've photographed at a salt flats wedding is around 60. I highly recommond hiring a wedding planner if you want to have guests at your wedding there. The salt flats are miles of nothing - so everything must be brought in for your guests including seating, bathrooms, water and whatever else they may need to be comfortable.

The salt flats can be unforgiving if you're unprepared. There is no shade, no resources, no nothing so I do my best to make sure you have everything to be as comfortable as possible.

The salt flats are a blank canvas and the lighting can be really tricky for new photographers. Subjects end up too dark or orange while the salt is too bright. I've mastered photographing all skin tones out at the salt flats and will make sure you look amazing!

Beyond taking photos, I'll help you plan an amazing day, secure permits if necessary, and find the best vendors so your vision can come to life.

I'm based out of Salt Lake City and am at the salt flats all the time! Wether you're a local or having your destination elopement here, we're going to have a great time while I share some of my special salt flats spots with you.
