As a Salt Flats wedding photographer, I specialize in capturing intimate weddings and elopements at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah for couples who want something truly extraordinary. I'm a local photographer who's been documenting weddings here since 2018, so I know all the best locations at the flats and have seen all the different seasons out there.
I bring deep location knowledge, drone photography, and Milky Way star images to create timeless, awe-inspiring wedding photos in one of the most surreal landscapes in the world.
I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and helped many couples plan their elopement from start to finish. I'll guide you through the logistics of this remote and ever-changing landscape. From timeline, activity, and vendor recommendations - I'll be with you every step of the way.
I offer so much more than basic photos: drone imagery, Milky Way photos, film, and instant prints. I’m here to help you experience your wedding day fully — and remember it beautifully.
I've been named "Queen of the Salt Flats", one of the best salt flats photographers by other Utah photographers.
WELCOME, I'm Kaci
“I have nothing but. great things to say about Kaci. The photos are beyond phenomenal!”
She helped us plan our day from out of state, making sure we had nothing to worry about when our wedding day finally came. The photos are beyond phenomenal and she was super quick to get all of them back to us. She is so kind and goes out of her way to make your day spectacular.

Below are some of my favorite locations for weddings at the Salt Flats:
Why the Salt Flats...You're dreaming of a salt flats wedding because you want to get married somewhere totally unique, not the same venue everyone you know got married at down the street.
The Utah Salt Flats - officially called the Bonneville Salt Flats, Wendover, Utah are miles and miles of vast flat land covered in salt. They're located about 1.5 hours away from Salt Lake City, 2 hours from Park City in the middle of nowhere.
There are two main spots to meet at for your salt flats wedding: the Bonneville Salt Flats Westbound Rest Stop and the Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway.
The westbound rest stop is only accessible by going West on I-80. It is private property and currently has port-a-potties and a few picnic tables. It is fenced off so you cannot drive here. It is usually more crowded than the speedway.
If you're staying in Wendover instead of Salt Lake City or Park City, then you will only be able to use the speedway (since you will be going East on the I-80 to get to the salt flats).

I typically recommend the salt flats speedway for your ceremony since it tends to be less crowded and you can drive on it during dry season. It's on the same exit as the gas station. This is the location you will use if you are staying in Wendover. I've also found that the speedway tends to flood more than the rest stop if you want reflection photos.
I'm a preferred vendor for Above the Flats, the absolute best place for you to stay during your wedding or elopement. Not only is it the closest (you'll literally have a view of the flats from your window), it is the most luxurious option in Wendover. Spacious, styled well, everything you could ever need since you have access to the whole home.

• Spiral Jetty
• Little Sahara Sand Dunes
OUTSIDE OF UTAH
• White Sands, New Mexico
• Glamis Sand Dunes, California
• Dry Lake Bed, Las Vegas

The Boliva Salt flats are the largest salt flats in the world, but these options are all easy to get to in the Southwest for a similar look.
The experience with me is so much more than saying your vows and taking a few quick photos.
I photograph salt flats weddings with guests as well as elopements with just the couple. I can help you plan the entire process, even from out of state. I'm an officiant if you need one as well!
We'll plan a relaxed salt flats elopement timeline so you can have a wonderful day focused on your love for each other. This is most definitely not a photoshoot, and most definitely anything you want it to be!
On a non-cloudy night during a new moon, we can capture the milky way at the Bonneville Salt Flats. If you're interested in these kinds of photos please contact me to help you select the best calendar date to see these stars.
ON THE BLOG
Specializing in small weddings, typically less than 60 guests.
Happy to help you plan a beautiful photoshoot to celebrate your engagement here at the Utah Salt Flats.
Elopement photos and planning, this is for couples that want a "just us" wedding adventure at the flats.
The salt flats are usually flooded in the winter and early Spring, around December-April depending on the weather. It is chilly 30-40 degrees with high winds but if you can get a calm day, the reflection is out of this world!
During the summer months usually June-October, the salt flats are dried out with beautiful lines. This is when they are more crowded and you need to check for any events happening there like speed week. Summer is also the best time to capture the Milky Way there!
It would be an honor to work with you! I help most of my couples plan their incredible salt flats wedding from out of state. Many are visiting for the first time.
If you want an unforgettable setting for your ceremony, the salt flats are it!
It's a blank canvas for whatever kind of wedding or elopement you're dreaming of. I'd love to help you make it a reality and have beautiful photos to remember it all with!

Here are some frequently asked questions (and questions you should consider asking your potential photographer).
I keep in touch with you throughout the engagement process so that I know what photos, events and people are the most important to capture.
On the wedding day, I'm by your side, gently guiding and keeping you grounded. I know when to step in to pose and when to let moments unfold uninterrupted.
I will provide instant prints that day, sneak peeks within 2 days, highlights within 2 weeks, and your final only gallery with 50+ imagers/hour within 8-12 weeks. Your proposal will be customized to fit your portrait, coverage, and other photography needs.
The salt flats are less than 2 hours away from me, most of your vendors will be coming from the SLC and not Wendover, NV. Travel will be included in your custom quote so there are no added or hidden fees ever!
My photos are bright, elegant and true to life coloring. I capture flattering editorial poses as well as genuine emotional candids with a photojournalistic approach.
We usually start in Park City, Salt Lake City, Montego Bay or Above the Flats then I'm happy to help you find the perfect spot on the salt flats for your ceremony! I know that place like the back of my hand.
