To paraphrase the bride’s father “My daughter has always made smart choices…except for this one time. One bad choice. She tried to sneak Devin into the house. But, it all worked out though because here we are”. The crowd erupted in laughter because this couple is so sweet and pure. They have been together since high school. Inseparable. Bonding over goofy jokes and metal music; they are made for each other.
Lexus looked absolutely stunning with her flawless makeup and romantic braid. She was full of excitement every second leading up to the ceremony. As was Devin. Neither could wait any longer to be married.
I loved the sparkle from all of her diamonds. Lex glowed and radiated light just like her jewelry. They shared their own vows, typed up neatly and thoughtfully.
The groom surprised his bride with a beautiful necklace and note just before the ceremony. Happy tears flowed and we all looked at the ceiling to keep from crying.
Devin had has favorite football team’s logo line his jacket plus all the groomsmen wore their team’s socks, so cool!
I first met Lexus and Devin last November and unfortunately a lot of wedding plans had to change due to the COVID-19 virus. Her bachelorette party was cancelled. Their wedding venue would only reschedule to 2021. They decided they didn’t want to wait any longer to get married though, so the had a small wedding in Syracuse, Utah.
Utah has some really beautiful backyard wedding options. I love these Syracuse wedding photos because the backyard is connected to a beautiful creek and golf course. This place passes for a wedding venue to me!
The decor and string lights made it look extra magical. I adored the aspen wedding arbor lined with raspberry leaves and roses.
The wedding officiant was a friend of theirs and I have never laughed so hard during the vows. He turned to Lexus and said the traditional “Do you Lexus take this man (blah blah blah). Do you also accept that I, Keith, get to name your first born child?” hahaha she had to say I do…
Lexus and Devin know how to get the party started! There was never a dull dance. The father and the bride dance turned into rocking out together. The mother and the groom dance turned into “If You Are Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands” to get all the guests involved. But my favorite, was the bride and groom busting out blow-up guitars during their dance like the true rock stars that they are!
Sparklers are a fun wedding send-off, but this balloon exit was extra magical and no one got burnt (seriously I have lost hair before with sparklers lol). Every guest grabbed a helium white balloon that had a glow stick inside. Then lined up to wish the couple farewell. At the end, the guests let their balloons go and they filled the sky like floating stars. It was a perfect way to end a perfect wedding day.
My favorite part of the day, besides the epic dancing, had to be catching Lex and Dev holding each other’s hand alone before walking down the balloon exit. Lexus was crying because she had such an amazing wedding day, she didn’t want it to be over. That is the way it should be!
I am so happy for you two. Thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration. It was so much fun! I wish you the most joy and love in your marriage, congratulations!
