Watch out Hallmark, these two are straight out of a romantic movie. Fate brought them together.
Ethan said his favorite part about their love story is “The surprise really, you came unexpectedly and I’ve prayed for you to come for years, even wrote letters to you. I kept the faith and you finally came.”
Tuesdae’s favorite part:
“I’ve prayed for my future husband for as long as I can remember, from the time I was 8yrs old I’ve said I was going to marry a black man lol. I had this specific list of all the characteristics of my future husband. About 2yrs ago my mom and cousin encouraged me to rip up this list I had always prayed for. And I did, begrudgingly, but I’m so stubborn I continued to pray for the list even though I had physically ripped up the list.
In May 2020, my cousin sent me a sermon about ripping up the list. And at that point, I finally surrendered my list to Him and said I trust you Lord. In July of 2020, I met Ethan on the Christian dating app called FTH. We knew pretty quickly that we wanted to be together. He had been writing letters to his future wife for 4yrs. And I had custom ordered my wedding dress 4yrs ago! We checked the dates and it was within a few months of each other, that’s so cool to me!”
Such an incredible love story. They are definitely meant to be. Hanging out with them, I could just tell that these are God’s people and their love is easy. They can both be themselves and laugh until it hurts.Â
We started their elopement day with Chipotle (yum) and carpooled to the salt flats together. I loved hearing about their travels. Ethan has a goal of traveling to all 50 states so when I heard he hadn’t been to Nevada we made a quick stop on the way home to check that one off too! It’s only 5 minutes from the Utah salt flats. They are still doing a long distance due to work so they met each other at the Salt Lake City airport the day before eloping.Â
We explored the vast salt flats. Then did a first look (my favorite)! Just look at how Ethan looks at Tuesdae! Her dress is so lovely, it was custom-made long before they met. I love Ethan’s green suit that brings out Tuesdae’s eyes and matches her shoes perfectly.
Then we had a little newlywed picnic on the Bonneville salt flats.Â
We headed to the speedway which had some water to watch the beautiful pastel sunset and watch millions of stars appear in the sky. It was a little chilly but luckily these two were up for walking in the water!
Thank you so much for letting me go on this elopement adventure with you two. I had a blast! I love you so much Tuesdae and Ethan! I wish you all the happiness in your marriage. Keep on being a light and sharing your goodness with the world!
