The drive up Provo canyon to Squaw peak was just beautiful. I watched as my windows started to get frosty the higher up the mountain I went. Beautiful Fall colors surrounded the winding road and the snow capped the mountain across glimmered as the clouds rolled past the sun in waves. I parked at the top and sat for a few minutes admiring the amazing view of the city from 2600 feet in the sky. I walked around to find the perfect spots for Shantel and Matt. As soon as they arrived, I could tell how much they loved each other!

Here is their love story as told by Shantel:
We met when I first started dating my ex husband when I was 17.. We started out as super good friends and as the years went by and I got engaged to my ex. Matt kept telling me not to do it, I’d regret it.. We got super close the next few months than stopped talking when I got married. After 2 months of marriage i couldn’t do it. I was always thinking of Matt. We started talking again. I left my ex and we’ve been together ever since 🙂

The engagement… I was completely shocked.. We always talked about there wasn’t really a reason to get married. We might as well be married because it wouldn’t change much. Im excited to just make the jump. Start our forever together as a family and have that for all eternity 🙂

My favorite part was the dancing.. I don’t get to see that side of Matt anymore because he’s always at work 🙁 It was awesome to see him come out of his comfort zone. Just be himself and have fun. His favorite part was the location.. He loves the outdoors and mountains.
