Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Eason who tied the knot yesterday at Wedgewood Palm Valley! It was such a joy to work with this couple. Both of them are so kind, super polite (yes ma’ams and all – I love it) and so in love! I had so much fun at their engagement session and am extremely grateful that they trusted me – even while experimenting with new poses and fun ideas.
Their wedding day was gorgeous and amazing – a natural reflection of them!
Wedgewood Palm Valley wedding
It was a warm day in July (by warm I mean HOT), so we had to be quick while taking photos outside. Everyone did a fabulous job and looks amazing! It all started bright and early in the Bridal Suite at the Hampton Inn in Goodyear, Arizona – right across from the venue.
Wedding Details
I couldn’t get over this wedding ring box because I am a big supporter of marrying your best friend <3
This bouquet is so lovely and perfectly tied.
Loved her lace dress from David’s Bridal. It fit Tolisha perfectly and she looked so glamorous. http://www.davidsbridal.com/
Getting Ready
The bride and her girls!
Aw matching robes <3
Final touches before getting on the dress
Wedgewood Palm Valley Banquet Hall
Then it was off to the ceremony! The banquet hall at Wedgewood palm valley is so perfect for weddings because all of the walls are glass, which creates beautiful natural lighting without having to struggle outside in the heat! All the place settings had these cute little thank you boxes with chocolates in them. Then large, beautiful clear vases with white flowers for centerpieces.
The Wedding Ceremony
Then the fun began! The Maid of Honor did a little twirl at the end it was so cute!
The first look
The bride walking down the aisle with her parents
The bride and groom had a beautiful sand ceremony. The groom’s daughter poured sand in between theirs, and then the parent’s poured sand on top. I love the way the officiant described the ceremony. ‘It is a unity ceremony, once everyone has poured their sand, it is impossible to remove the different colors of sand without mixing them.
Then the bride and groom swept away their past to start a new chapter – each taking turns sweeping the broom, and then jumping over it to symbolize the start of their new life together.
Loved the fist bumps on the way out haha
Wedding Portraits
It’s official! Mr. and Mrs. Eason!
Then I took the bride and groom down to this secret lake house I scoped out, the night before, after the rehearsal. The bride just loved the waterfall – I knew she would adore this water background.
We had a little trek down by the lake and a Wedgewood employee came to save us from the heat with this golf cart. Somehow, I was able to squeeze in there too, with the employee standing in the back. Luckily, we lived to tell the tale!
Wedding Dances
The first dance. I love this picture of Tolisha, she looks so stunning!
The bride and her father dancing to “Isn’t She Lovely?” I couldn’t stop smiling! When my daughter was born my husband played this song for her. I picture my daughter and husband using this song at her wedding.
The groom and his mother danced to Tupac’s “Dear Momma”. I absolutely love this song. It was so sweet to watch them dance together!
The Cake Cutting
Bouquet Toss
Always so fun to watch all the single ladies go for it (and also not go for it ha)
Sisterhood
Tolisha’s sorority sisters singing to her was such a special moment!
They had an early ceremony so we were done around 3PM. I asked them if we could go back to the hotel because I wanted a few pictures with their beautiful grand staircase. For this one, I just had finished shooting Tolisha in her bridal gown at the top of stairs with backlighting. I told Dunte to come over to the bottom of the stairs so we could do a Titanic photo. As I walked up the stairs and found myself looking back on him doing this, my heart melted to see the love he was conveying for her. I’m so thrilled these two found each other and get to live happily ever after!
Vendors-
Wedding Coordinator: Provided by Wedwood. She was amazing! She made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. She was always asking if we needed anything and gave me heads up for picture times 🙂
